Finally got Whidbey installed in VMWare. It did not seem like a good idea to put it on my personal laptop yet.

However, turns out that VMWare is running slower and slower on the old 4 year old Gateway laptop, so a new Dell is on the way. Will update the specs when i get it finalized soon.

I'm still waiting for my MSDN copy of Whidbey, hopefully it'll arrive soon, I can't wait to get my hands on ASP.NET 2.0...
